2022...First Little While

Wow, I made it to recapping the current year 2022…in a few short weeks this year is going to be over as well. Just crazy…2022 seemed to bring us back to normal except for the inflation…Gas Prices hit an all time high and food and grocery items almost double what I had previous paid. Its just crazy!!! So lets recap the year!!!

I went cross country skiing with a friend. It went pretty good. The skis that I have are older and I can only put them on in my garage...if the boots comes loose from the skis out in the snow it is nearly impossible for me to put it back on. So today, I was able to keep it in and it turned out to be a nice day.

This year Macy got to do the science fair...Sam and Macy did the project together. It was called the M&M Challenge. Ill try and explain what they did. In the wild there are two types of animals; the hunters and the hunted. He project was to hunt for prey in different habitats to see which survived. The habitats consisted of skittles and the prey were mnm's. We took turns putting all colors of mnm's in one skittle habitat and see if we (the bird hunters) could pick out the mnm's (who were trying to camouflage). The color yellow was able to survive the best because it was hard to tell the skittles and mnm's apart. To be able to survive in the wild, animals need to try and blend in with its surroundings and match as closely as possible. I think she liked doing it and it turned out great.

VALENTINTES DAY DINNER-its a family affair...
Remember at the end of last year, I let Teddy get a professional perm. Well his hair grew out and it was crazy...it started to look too shabby so I got him to cut it off...this is what it looked like right before we got it cut..

So Sally started gymnastics in the summer of 2020; she had tried soccer that year and it was a bust...so I was hesitant to do the gymnastics but she did pretty good; she was just in a tiny tot class that really just had fun and tried to do some simple gymnasts stuff. The next summer I signed up Macy and she really liked it too. So the fall of 2021 Sally had to move up a class and she was in the same class as Macy. It did not go so well; she didn't care for the more rigid routine and doing the bigger class stuff. Macy did really well and excelled at doing her cartwheels and started to get her roundoff back handspring. Sally cried each time she went and it was brutal; I dreaded taking them but I knew Macy loved it. We would have the big talk before we went about being brave and having courage to do something hard and she always went into it trying to smile but it ended not so great. So this spring was the last class for Sally; we shall see if she decides to do it again, but I do not see that anytime soon. Macy actually got to move up to the intermediate class for the summer. So fun!!!
I love when they are matching!!!
My sweet Grandma Clark passed away in the beginning of April. She had just celebrated her 90th birthday a few weeks before. She had fallen and broken her hip and never really recovered. We will sure miss her. Her mind was 100% there until the very end. The last time I saw her in person was at her 84th birthday when Sally and I went down to Las Vegas for her birthday celebrations. It was one of the last time all my siblings were together...pretty crazy. I also remember her coming out to Florida when Teddy was a baby...it was so fun!!!
I was actually one of the last ones to talk to her before she died, other then the family members who were there in person with her. My uncle called me while I was at work and I got to see her say bye. It was really hard...but I know she is at peace. I am grateful that we know that we will be with our loved ones after we die.
Love my dad...
We will always remember her and her ability to remember birthday and holidays...she was just the best!!! We will sure miss her!!!

MACY is 9!!!

We sure do love our May May
EASTER 2022
I found these dresses at Sam's Club a little while before easter and got them...the day before I ran down to a store in Idaho Falls called Uptown Cheapskates. Its a second hand store that is a step above goodwill. I was able to find this dress to match the girls...it worked out great.
I am grateful that because of Christ; these kids are mine forever.
