2020...Year in Review...COVID 19

So at the end of 2019 there was a virus going around China...that the world feared would spread...and guess what, it did. The first cases started spreading in the beginning of 2020. After coming home from Vegas at the end of February cases started showing up in the United States and by mid March it was ramped across the whole world. The virus was name Coronavirus or COVID 19. At the end of 2019, the kids and I got tickets to go to Florida for spring break; we were so excited. The third week of March was approaching and we had a decision to make; to go or not to go. I talked to my parents and they said it was up to us to come or not but they wanted us to. The day before we were suppose to go, a TSA agent at the Orlando airport got COVID and it hit me that we probably shouldn't go. I didn't want to risk getting the virus and passing it on to my parents. It was a sad day picking the kids up from school and telling them that we were not going. They were super sad. Something else that was hard was that food and essential items were disappearing from stores; shelves were bare all over the country. After making the decision that we were not going to Florida; I had to run to the store and try and find food and stuff for the kids to do during spring break. I was able to find what we needed and we made it.
Saint Patrick's Day was the day we were suppose to head to Florida. I made sure to keep the kids occupied so they were not thinking of being sad that we were not on a plane. I was also a little overwhelmed with all that was going to in the world.

We did not head back to school after spring break; throughout the country most schools turned to online learning. We were able to get an ipad from the kids school and the teachers put assignments online.

They also cancelled church as well and allowed us to continue to do it at home.

We spent our time inside and the kids tried to do things in the back yard. We didn't really play with friends...it was a long spring!!! AND WE HAD TO WEAR MASKS EVERYWHERE!!!
Easter at home!!!
