Rest of 2015

Sally was born in June and this is our story for the rest of that year…

Its more difficult than I thought to look back and put into words the things that have happened over the last 4 years and I think at times, I will go back even farther.
Sally was born on Monday and we went home Wednesday afternoon; Thursday I started not feeling well, I would not be able to lie down without being able to breath very well; it lasted into Monday and on Tuesday we decided to go into our doctor to get it checked. My mother went with me. They took my blood pressure and sent me straight to the hospital, they did not let on to the severity of what was going on but my blood pressure was at dangerous levels and I was at risk for a seizure or stroke, they said later that it was a miracle that it had not happened at home.  I had symptoms of post-partum preeclampsia’ they were worried but my blood pressure got within a range they were okay with; it was still high so I had to take my pressure daily and had a lot of different appointments over the next month, but in the end it worked out
Two weeks after Sally was born, my mother’s family was meeting at Macks Inn in Island Park Idaho for a family reunion. This family reunion happens every two years. We decided that we would drive up and surprise my family. We were able to get in touch with my father who helped us find a small cabin. The trip was so nice; the older two kids loved spending time with their cousins and other family members and it was just so peaceful; the last morning there I was able to sit on the lake front and hold my little girl and relish in the beauty of the earth but something crazy was brewing.

We got home on Sunday morning and were able to bless Sally that afternoon, with my parents there.

Wearing Aunt Ashlee's dress again!!! Just like her big sis!!!

Forth Of July
To back track a little, I know I mentioned it a while ago but in October of 2013 my husband and I decided that we should go back to school; we applied to BYU Idaho and I was accepted but he was not. He then applied to numerous golf sales rep positions and accepted a job with Oxford Golf; that is what brought us to Utah. A few days after Sally was born, my mother was in town and encouraged my husband to drive the 4 hours to Rexburg and go in and try and talk to someone about his denial. We had a friend from Florida who told us that there was a way to appeal denials. My husband prepared what to tell the admissions department about why is GPA was so low and why he felt he should be considered. He was able to talk to someone in the admissions department and get the ball rolling. He told them that after high school he had focused his time on playing baseball in hopes of making it to the major league and he did not care about school. But since his mission he had gone to school and had a career in golf for 5 years. The gentlemen in the admissions office told my husband that he had been in a similar position years before and he would do what he could to help out. My husband came home with a new hope that he would be able to go back to school. We found out in the beginning of August that he was accepted and would begin school in the Winter semester, January 2016. I was also accepted at that time and it was weird to think about going back to school after a 10 year hiatus. But I was excited to finish my degree!!!

I got to visit both of my Mission President's Wife's before we moved!!! I am so lucky that they live within 10 minutes of each other!!!
