My birthday was this past week and it was pretty much just a typical day; the girls gave me some cards and a friend dropped off a cake. My brother and his family stopped by and brought some cookies. We went to Chuck A Rama for dinner. I have been trying so hard to be good. I just had a salad with some Turkey and I liked it. We then came home and then went to a friends house for an outdoor movie; the girls loved it. We have a great group of people that we live by and I am grateful.
Saturday
morning my friend C treated me to a massage, it was very nice. I wish I could
do them more often but its mostly just a once in a while thing. I do need to go
and get my toenails done soon. Well see when I get the chance to do it.
Saturday
afternoon I went to the store and then spent time in the kitchen baking. In our
ward each summer we have something called Walk Abouts, June, July, August and
September, 4 families each month hose the ward walking around and mingling. I hosted
back in 2021 and decided to sign up again. Last time we did it in 2021 we made
three different kinds of sheet cakes, but this year we decided on cookies. I
made 8 different kid of cookies and also some savory options as well. I did pigs
in a blanket and pizza rolls.

rolls did not turn out great, but everything else did turn out. Sunday after
church I finished baking the cookies and guess what, around 4:30 it started
raining. Seriously, last month for the walk about it was sprinkling as well. I was
so annoyed, it has been so hot out and the day we decide to do this, it starts
raining. It turned out okay, it sprinkled a lot of the evening, by we did not
have a huge downpour with the stuff out. I am glad its over for a few years,
haha. Next month I will be happy to walk to other people’s houses. `
