Wedding

Last year my husbands brother came into town and we met him for dinner up in Daytona...it was fun to have him meet Teddy and he was planning on proposing to his girlfriend and they were planning on getting married this year. We joked at dinner that I would be 9 months pregnant and fat at the wedding because I was the same at my brothers wedding...I was not pregnant at the time but soon after became...and so low and behold I was 9 months pregnant...but I would not say fat...haha...I had to decide what to do though...for my brothers wedding a year and a half ago, I flew out to Utah at 32 weeks and came back at 36...they say you should not fly after 36 weeks and this time around the wedding was right around that time. So we decided early on that we were going to drive and make a road trip out of it. I will get to that in a bit but wanted to recap a little about what went on the last few weeks of March...Teddy had his 18 months appointment and woke up in the middle of the night not feeling well the day of...he was very somber at the appointment...they said he was ok and we left...but he just was not himself.

 We got home and he just crashed... I gave him his bottle and wanted to keep him up as long as I could, but when I came to check on him after doing some work, I found him sacked out with his Teddy...so darling

A few days later he was feeling a little better and I came out of my office to THIS...he had his golf club and was staring down the fairway and then he swung...he has been doing this ever since...definitely his daddy's son...he gets golf and baseball mixed around some...he will swing the club and then drop it and start running the bases saying go go go...it is so cute...I love his littler personalty

The night before we left for Kansas I snuck into his room and had to snap a picture of him sleeping...he was curled up with his blanket and had his Teddy by him as well...I just love a sleeping baby and taking pictures of this kid...he is everything to me!!!

Ok, so I was nervous about driving 20 hours and being in a car for that long while being 9 months preggo...I almost just sent my husband on a plane and then almost decided we would all fly up there but in the end we made the decision to drive. Our car broke down the week before and we got it all fixed and ready to go...lucky it happened before and not in the middle of Kentucky... =) 

 We woke baby boy up around 6:30 on Thursday morning and started driving...we drove and dove...and stopped for potty and walking breaks and drove and dove...this kid was such a trooper...we made it to Cadez, Kentucky where we stopped and stayed the night. We checked into a little hotel called the Knights Inn and it turned out to be a LONG and not great night.

 We spent an hour of so in the hotel room winding down and just resting...we turned on a basketball game and just chilled...I took Teddy on a drive and he fell asleep. He does good at transferring...

 So I forgot my earplugs and that was not a good thing...my husband was out like a light bulb and snoring like crazy...its getting worse and worse as time goes on...I decided I was going to try and sleep on the bathroom floor with the fan on to drown out the noise. I put pillows and some luggage around Teddy...he was sleeping on the bed...and then wend to try and lie down. Well it did not last long...Teddy ended up waking up and being up forever...I tried to keep him occupied but it was hard...my husband slept like a rock and it was just a little annoying =/

 Finally at like 4am...I had him on the bed with me and we were watching something on his dvd player when he head butted me in my face so hard that I screamed out. It woke my husband up and at first he was upset with me for yelling out because we were in a hotel room and others could hear but it hurt so bad that I did not even care...it took me a while to calm him and myself down...I was not mad it just game me a huge headache...he finally crashed as he was running around right no the floor...it was literally bam, and he was out...it was crazy how fast he fell asleep.

 I then made up my bed again in the bathroom and semi fell asleep...a few hour later this is how I found Teddy and we had to wake him up to get going...

We drove for about 6 hours on Friday and made it to Kansas by 4 or so...one time in the car I looked back to see Teddy had grabbed his DVD player and pulled it closer to his face...haha...so Friday evening was the reheasal at the hotel and then dinner at a Italian restaurant...it was nice to see my husbands family and they ate Teddy up...he was the center of attention...he would walk up to anyone and everyone and give them a fist bump...he was soaking up the attention...it was fun to see his Grandma and Grandpa Phillips as well.

The second night in the hotel in Kansas went so much better than the first. I think the first night he had gotten his feet or something stuck in the blanket from the bed and that is what really woke up him...this time I made sure to move all the bigger things off the bed and I bought ear plugs and slept by him...he woke up a few times but was able to fall back asleep...what a good little boy!!!

Saturday morning my husbands parents wanted to have a little Easter egg hunt for the grandsons...there are 4 grandsons...Ian is 13, Liam is 3 and a half, Jackson is 22 months and Teddy is 18 months...they had a good time. We got there before everyone else and it was fun to let Teddy have a little moment with his Grandparents by himself. We brought his golf club and he was performing so good

 He got the concept of picking up the eggs and putting them into his bucket and he especially like eating the candy...it was a nice morning and afternoon. We got ready for the wedding and it was held later that evening. It rained a little in the afternoon and we were scared it was going to be raining later on but the sky's cleared and it was nice by the time the wedding started.

 I bought this black jacket at Target a few months ago...it was big but he definitely rocked it...I had shoes on him at the beginning but they soon came off and he was just off and running barefoot...

We finally got a picture with all 5 of the grandchildren...Ian, Liam, Jaxon, Teddy and Lyla!!!

Teddy loved playing on the dance floor...One time he wandered off and we found him over by the food table conversing with some people in line...haha, LOVE THIS KID

I took my sister in laws camera and snapped this shot of Teddy...boy this is one handsome kid...I love his hair short and I love everything about him...he makes me smile, he makes me cry...he is just amazing!!!

We at first were planning on leaving after the wedding on Saturday night and drive a little ways but we decided to stay the night in the hotel in Kansas and then leave in the morning...We had originally planned on leaving around 6 or 7 but I woke up at 4 and could not go back to sleep and told my husband we should just get up and go...that I would drive the first leg while he and teddy slept...so we left

 The drive went good, Teddy did so good again...it was Easter Sunday so we had Teddy sorta put on this bunny mask and took a picture to send to family...

 We drove and drove and decided we would stop somewhere in Georgia, well we ended up not stopping. Teddy did not fall asleep for his nap until like 6 pm and by that time I did not want to then stop in a few hours and have him awake in the hotel room again...so we decided to drive straight through...I AM SO GLAD THAT WE DID...we pulled in a little before 2am...and I was so happy to be HOME and not in another hotel...Teddy transferred to him bed which was another miracle...and we both hit the hay

We put his jammies on and got him all set for night...and did so so so good...better then we could have asked for. I am so glad that we made the trek to be there for my husbands family and to be part of such an amazing time. Davy and Bree are such an awesome couple, they radiate love and are just perfect for each other. It was nice to have my husband get to see his family...and they loved seeing him and Teddy!!! So grateful for my little family and my extended family as well
