LOOK WHO'S ONE

WHERE DID AUGUST GO...SEPTEMBER ATE IT
August went so fast and September was here before we knew it. The first half of the month went very fast as  well. This was a special moth...my baby boy turned one!!! I am going to use the word fast so much in this post because if I thought the month of August went fast, can you say that this year went super fast. In a blink of an eye my little nugget is not little anymore...he is a big boy and most people think he is older then he is...So we decided to have a small party for Teddy but we did not know what to do or who to invite. If you invite some you have to invite others, so we contemplated what to do and if we should have a party at all...because lets face it, they will not be remembering the big ONE, this is for the parents mostly and especially the mother. So we just decided to have a party at my parents house and invite the neighborhood and people from the ward. We decided to just make big pot of taco soup and have cornbread and corndogs for the kids. We had three different kinds of sheetcakes (funfetti, chocolate and pumpkin)...I bet we had over 60 people come by and although there was a lot of people that came out, it still was not overly all out. We played a few games, sang a few songs and ate cake. There were so many people singing to him and there were tons of kids around when he was sitting ready to eat his cake that he kinda froze and did not know what to do. Some of the kids decided to help him out and put his finger in the cake and then helped him eat some. He was able to then get into it. He kept his right fist in the cake the whole time and would eat with his left hand, it was so cute. I was so grateful for the wonderful friends and family that came out to support our main man...Here is to another year!!!
This is the Teddy bear that my husband drew...he is really awesome. We played pin the tail on the teddy bear and used some cotton rounds for the tail, I had wanted cotton balls but forgot to buy some and my mom was out. So we improvised. My husband drew some charactures of the kids and we played musical chairs...it was a fun night
Here is the cake I made...nothing fancy

MESSY BOY

Teddy and Daddy
Opening presents...he was more interested in the balloons...thank you to so many wonderful people for the thoughtful gifts. We got some books and games and clothes and more...
One Family gave him his own golf clubs...he loves them!!!
Again, I cannot believe that a year has passed since this little guy came into our lives. This year has had some ups and downs, but I would not change anything about it. This person has brought me so much joy...I love when he says mama and dada and sometimes he just says mum, it is so cute. At his year appointment he weighed in around 27 pounds...20 pounds in a year, not bad...and was 29 inches tall...I hope he still keeps getting longer. He has had a rough time with allergies but he is a trooper...he is starting to play games with you and imitate what you do...he is learning so much and I cannot wait to see what this new year brings.
This Picture is exactly one year apart, sitting on the same couch and I think it was a football game that was on...my o my, cant believe it
I LOVE YOU TEDDY
